Cultural Outreach Committee
Description and Committee Charge
The RCCMHC Cultural Outreach Committee advises the Governing Board on services, policies, procedures, and systems-building practices to ensure they are culturally affirming and responsive as well as linguistically appropriate.
Members work with local providers and cultural communities to identify needs, to analyze results, and to develop recommendations for addressing service gaps.
Members enhance cultural humility among community providers through outreach and education, including conferences, dialogues, publications, and trainings.
Members advise the Governing Board on evidence-based, practice-informed, and community-defined approaches, including promising practices which may be new or emerging.
Monthly Topics, Trainings and Guest Speakers
The Cultural Outreach Committee meets at Rondo Library on 3rd Mondays. Starting in May, we are alternating months with the Advisory Council. More details are available on our online calendar.
