Description and Committee Charge
The RCCMHC Cultural Outreach Committee advises the Governing Board on services, policies, procedures, and systems-building practices to ensure they are culturally affirming and responsive as well as linguistically appropriate.

Members work with local providers and cultural communities to identify needs, to analyze results, and to develop recommendations for addressing service gaps.

Members enhance cultural humility among community providers through outreach and education, including conferences, dialogues, publications, and trainings.

Members advise the Governing Board on evidence-based, practice-informed, and community-defined approaches, including promising practices which may be new or emerging.

Meeting and Training Schedule Beginning October 19, 2023
The Cultural Outreach Committee meets via Zoom on 3rd Thursdays (3:00 to 5:00) We alternate months with the Advisory Council because many people attend both Advisory and Cultural Outreach.
RCCMHC hosts FREE trainings during our meetings. Each meeting has a 1.5-hour training and Q&A discussion as well as 30 min RCCMHC committee business. CEUs are usually available.
