Ramsey County Children's Mental Health Collaborative

Welcome to our first program of the school year! We will introduce RCCMHC's programs and services for this year, and then focus on using your values to create rules, rituals, and routines. Two caregivers per family can receive a $20 gift card.

This Committee meeting is OPEN to all parents/caregivers in Ramsey County who have experience with children's mental health challenges. $20 stipend.

(ages 6 to 11) We will do some fun getting to know you activities and talk about setting new school year routines to help you feel good. We'll show you how to build your own CALM Toolkit and you can choose some free items that we will deliver to your home!

Every family has their own unique culture. Parents/caregivers will join small breakout rooms to talk about identifying your indivual family values and ideas on creating a positive family culture. 2 adults per family can get free CALM toolkit supplies.

Parents/caregivers will learn about child development and setting realistic expectations for their child/teen with mental health or behavior disorders. Two adult caregivers per family can receive a $20 gift card.

(Ages 6-11) Join us to do some fun activites that will get our body moving! Each child gets to choose free supplies for their CALM Toolkit or cooking supplies. Stay tuned for more details as we plan this program.

(Ages 12+) Physical activity is good for your mental health. Join us for some gentle movement activities! Each teen gets to choose free supplies for their CALM Toolkit.

Join us for a panel discussion with community experts about parenting a child with developmental disabilities and mental health needs and county, school and community services that are available. 2 adults per family can get free CALM toolkit supplies.

You are your child's best advocate. We'll talk about assertive communication and how to advocate for your child/teen's mental health in clinical, school, and other settings. Two adult caregivers per family can receive a $20 gift card.

(Ages 6-11) Kids will learn about effective communication with adults and peers and getting their needs met. Each child gets to choose free supplies for their CALM Toolkit or cooking supplies. Stay tuned for more details as we plan this program.

(Ages 12+) Teens will learn about effective communication with adults and peers and getting their needs met. . Each teen gets to choose free supplies for their CALM Toolkit.

We will use breakout rooms to discuss meetings with school staff when mental health or behaviors get in the way of learning, including communication and preparation strategies. 2 adults per family can get free CALM toolkit supplies.

This is our special Chill Out program! We will focus on taking time to relax and reflect before responding to a child's/teen's challenging behaviors and emotions. Up to 2 caregivers per household will be able to order from a list of special CALM Tools available only in December!
