Committee Leadership and Members

Committee Co-Chairs also serve on the RCCMHC Governing Board: OPEN POSITIONS

Our new Professional Development and Advisory Committee replaces our old Advisory Council and Cultural Outreach Committee. So we will use a transitional Co-Chair appointment process for the 2025-2026 program year. The Committee’s ongoing Co-Chair positions will be elected by the committee membership starting in 2026-2027.

Transitional Appointment Process (2025-2026)

  • Letters of interest will be gathered from prospective Co-Chair candidates during summer 2025.

  • The RCCMHC Executive Committee and staff will review applicants and bring a recommended slate of Co-Chair nominees to the RCCMHC Governing Board for consideration at the August 2025 Board meeting.

  • The Board will appoint two Co-Chairs to serve the initial terms: One Co-Chair will serve a one-year term (2025-2026) and one Co-Chair will serve a two-year term (2025-2027).

  • This staggered approach will allow the committee to transition to ongoing staggered Co-Chair elections beginning in the 2026-2027 fiscal year.

Committee members

  • The Committee has open membership- you are welcome to join us!

  • The Committee will include professionals from diverse fields, disciplines, and systems and will reflect the community we serve. RCCMHC’s expanded concept of the workforce includes mental health professionals such as clinical and non-clinical specialized care professionals and healers; but it also includes non-mental health experts such as resource navigators, case managers, educators, faith leaders, and others who support youth and families with complex needs.

Committee Goals
  • identify needs and recommend interventions to address service gaps and build workforce capacity.
  • provide feedback on collaborative impact and program outcomes.

  • build relationships and network to mobilize and leverage resources.

  • host cross-disciplinary trainings, expert panels, and workshops to promote evidence-based and community-defined interventions as well as culturally responsive or emerging approaches.
