Search Partial Hospitalization Programs  (PHP)

NOTE: Some agencies may refer to this as Day Treatment because youth do not spend the night.

For MODERATE to SEVERE symptoms. Youth may be referred to PHP services to prevent  psychiatric hospitalization or residential treatment. Or, youth may be referred to PHP services so they can continue treatment after they leave the hospital or residential treatment facility.

PHP programs are designed to provide a higher level of care to manage symptoms and safety. Youth should be able to participate in therapy and engage appropriately in a group setting.  Youth may express suicidal ideation.

PHP programs are similar to Intensive Outpatient Programs but they are typically more structured, the number of hours per day are longer, and the overall program is shorter (less weeks.)
