About the Event

This virtual workshop will explore ways to navigate change and transitions together by exploring how identity, stereotypes, and implicit bias affect trauma, grief, and loss. We will unpack how biases are formed and internalized, the personal and professional cost of negative bias, and the ways in which identity and stereotype threat affect our work and relationships. We'll also look at what our brains are doing in moments of fear, stress, and anxiety and provide suggestions for how to neutralize our own stress responses so that we are less likely to act on our own bias and are more able to advocate for and support the children and families with whom we work.  https://www.amazeworks.org/
