About the Event
Hi. My name is Deb Olander. I started working with polyclay about 3 years ago. I am a lifelong artist who does a lot of painting, Â beading, glasswork but my favorite is polymer clay, also known as Sculpey or Fimo.
You can do almost anything with it and it comes in so many beautiful colors. Â And better yet, you can mix clay and get wonderful unique colors. I have used polymer clay to make sculptures, Â jewelry, Â beads, colorful coating for glass jars or tin boxes or even journal covers.Â
Working with the clay feels good in your hands and is a calming thing for both me and my daughter. Â Blending colors is beautiful to watch and that engages my eyes. And when I get done, I have something lovely to look at or share with someone else.Â
Best of all, it cooks in the oven at 250 to 275 degrees and will be durable and beautiful forever.Â
