About the Event

Learn about vocabulary/terminology, the history of the LGBTQIA rights movement, common misperceptions and stereotypers, and ways to be supportive of the LGBTQIA community.  This training will incorporate hands-on learning experience through the use of worksheets and role play scenarios.  Parents/caregivers will practice learning how to talk with their children and how to focus on ally behavior so they are able to learn about behaviors associated with being an ally, and to allow them to practice being an ally.

Presenter: JAC Stringer, MSW, LGSW from Cabot Psychological Services
