About the Event
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. The Collaborative family will be celebrating Mental Health on Wednesday, May 12th by doing an art project.  We need to see individuals for who they are because their diagnosis does not define them. Everyone is unique and has a different set of struggles. Each person's story is different and possesses an undeniable amount of strength and courage that should be celebrated when sharing their story. We will be doing Q-tip painting.  Each person will be providing two canvases.  One canvas will be blank and each person will be instructed to paint what mental health means to them (whatever that entails).  The other canvas will have an outline of a ribbon that each person can paint green and decorate the rest of the canvas however they decide.  Green ribbon is the international symbol for mental health awarness.  It shows you care about mental health.
