About the Event

COVID-19 has been stressful for parents/caregivers and our children.  Fear and anxiety about a new disease that has lots of unknowns and what could happen can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in adults and children.  Social distancing and lockdowns can make individuals and families feel isolated.  Feelings of grief and loss can be particularly strong around the holidays.  The drastic changes to our lifestyles (routine, traditions, etc.) we have experienced due to COVID-19 adds another layer to grief and loss.  Join us for an interactive presentation where you will learn about common reactions to grief and loss, how to identify and draw upon your sources of strength to better cope, resources to support you and those you care about, and ways to create new and meaningful traditions.  Each parent/caregiver will complete a mind map for coping through the holidays (all holidays celebrated are welcome!).
