About the Event

Our Guest Presenter: Elle Mark, Prevention Education Manager for the Know the Truth â„¢ Prevention Program (KTT) and member of the Ramsey County OPUS Coalition.

Presentation Details: 

In this presentation, attendees will be educated on the latest substance use trends (during COVID-19) and will be provided with evidence-informed approaches to supporting Generation Z - even through virtual realms.  Attendees will receive practical tools and resources for supporting youth’s mental health and identifying youth substance use. Topics covered include; current trends in youth substance use, co-occurring mental health and chemical health disorders, tools for substance use identification, and harm reduction techniques. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The Ramsey County Opioid Prevention and Unified Services Coalition (OPUS) was developed to establish greater unity between law enforcement, courts, schools, and other community resources. Since 2017 our goal has been to engage, advocate, inform and bring awareness of substance use issues throughout Ramsey County, MN through education, prevention, enforcement and treatment to build a healthy, safe and drug free community. The OPUS Coalition partners with the Know the Truth™ Substance Use Prevention program to ensure a relatable and evidence-informed prevention message is widely available across Ramsey County School districts. In the 2019/2020 school year, the KTT program presented in 13 High Schools, 4 Middle Schools and 2 ALC’s within Ramsey County.
