Females ages 12-21

• HGR does accept residents who are known or suspected to be pregnant. 

• HGR is unable to accept residents who are actively psychotic, actively suicidal, or who are a significant danger to themselves or others. 

• One of HGR's programs serves sexually exploited youth, victims of commercial sexual exploitation and youth with life experiences that put them at high-risk of being trafficked.

Heartland Ranch is a working ranch that uses horses as a catalyst to bring about positive change. Every girl that comes to the Ranch is assigned her "own" horse. Girls are paired with a horse that will best benefit their unique personality and circumstances. Each girl is then taught the basics of horse care, which includes feeding, grooming, and communication skills.

Referrals

• County social workers, probation officers, and/or tribal workers. Referrals typically include: Delinquency, CHIPS, Voluntary Placements, and Extended Juvenile Jurisdiction.
