We are coming together as a COMMUNITY

Virtual Wellbeing Resource Fair

COVID-19, the injustice of structural racism, and the current community unrest has resulted in enormous need and emotional pain for families. But, it's harder than ever to access services and supports!

So, we partnered with the Suburban Ramsey Family Collaborative to hold our first Virtual Fair on Tuesday, June 9. We gathered providers and families together to share resources in 3 breakout rooms: Stress & Mental Health, Basic Needs, and Parenting. We are gathering your feedback and planning to offer more opportunities for virtual resource sharing in the future.  Check out the Resource Scavenger Hunt (below.)

One-Stop Shopping

RCCMHC hosted our first resource fair in 2010. Since then, the fair has grown into a “bursting at the seams” community event!  Today, our Family Wellbeing Fairs offer one-stop shopping access to local services and supports such as: child/adult mental health, school support, faith and cultural connections, basic needs and financial support, chemical health, nutrition and physical health, youth services and mentoring, case management, juvenile corrections, advocacy and legal support, job training/ vocational connections etc.

In addition to traditional services, several agencies offer healing practices and/or cultural adaptations of evidence-based practices. Some examples include: sensory-based therapies such as music or art therapies, yoga, mindfulness, self-regulation, and Eastern healing practices such as acupuncture.

Our 2020 in-person fairs have been canceled due to COVID19.
